The Voice of the Silence: the World Behind the Work

The Voice of the Silence: the World Behind the Work

The Voice of the Silence is a beautiful poetic work, many of the verses referring to different religious and philosophical contexts, mostly Hindu and Buddhist. In its enigmatic foreword, H.P. Blavatsky relates that she is not the author of the Voice, but that she translated its verses from the Book of Golden Precepts, which is part of the “same series” as the Book of Dzyan. Following the references we may be able to investigate the context of the Voice, and find clues as to the origin of the Voice, and by extension the Book of Dzyan.

In this lecture, together with the audience, Ingmar de Boer will try to reconstruct the world behind the Voice and formulate a hypothesis as to the origin of the Book of Dzyan.
