A SYMPHONY PLAYED BETWEEN IONIA AND CHINA

Herakleitos and Lao Tzu lived in the same century, worked on the same problems, and both abandoned society in order to capture answers to their questions in total serenity. Time and Place, Hronos and Topos have been studied on the same continent from both these Asiatic philosophers, though at a great geographic distance, and with no obvious possibility of any communication between the two. Their main topics of study are shaping the most central and diachronic philosophical questions since the terms “Time” and “Place” determine the ontological character of the Universe and consequently include its spiritual parameters. Ionia and China speak to the World together, as a common voice, intending to make people realize their position in the Ecumenical Home. “Achronos Hronos”, the Timeless Time, and “Atopos Topos”, the “Non Topos” which is Utopia, are tools and paths to use and follow in the research of “Aletheia” and “Truth”, not the static nor the phenomenal, but the Real One.
