David Nieuwejaers has been a student of perennial philosophy and comparative religious thought for the past 25 years. His main field of interest are Christian mysticism and the western esoteric tradition. Inspired by sapiential teachers, such as Plato, Plotinus, Dionysius the Areopagite, Meister Eckhart, Tauler and Boehme, he frequently gives lectures and study classes. He is also associated as a volunteer with the monastery of Chevetogne (B.), a Benedictine monastery devoted to the unity of Christians. David was born in Belgium and lives in Maastricht (The Netherlands) where he works as a professor in criminal law.
