Biography
April Hejka-Ekins, Ph.D. is professor emeritus of Public Administration at California State University, Stanislaus. For over 24 years, she has taught a wide range of subjects in the master’s program, including courses in Public Service Ethics and Organization Theory. Prior to her academic career, she attained a Master’s degree in Social Work and worked as a therapist for ten years in Community Mental Health. April and her husband, Jerry Hejka-Ekins, founded a non-profit organization, Alexandria West, which is dedicated to the study and preservation of the Ancient Wisdom and includes an extensive library, educational program and service projects.
